Katelyn has been on the senior team for about a year now. I absolutely love shooting with her because she is always up for literally anything! She has a super fun personality which makes her so easy to roll with on shoot days!
For her senior session, I knew the vibe she wanted and we actually talked about a few different aspects she wanted to include in her senior photos. She wanted some really unique pictures with her horse and she wanted her senior pictures to have a sweet and southern vibe. Which I think is a perfect representation of her personality!
I suggested we split her horse pictures for another day so we could really spend time capturing them without being rushed to fit everything in one day and boy am I glad we did. We scheduled a day and guess what… There was rain in the forecast which I was so bummed about. Katelyn still wanted to have her photos taken, so we did. And it turned out to be one of the most unique sessions because of that, so I am so glad we decided to go ahead and have this shoot. By the end of the shoot, we were running to our vehicles trying to get home in the rain before the storm hit, but it was so worth it. Take a look!
For the other half of her session, she wanted to go somewhere with a barn. She mentioned she liked the Russell Lands area, so we chose that to be the spot. It really is a beautiful area and never fails to be the perfect spot for sessions, so I was excited.
We our started at the barn and it was so rewarding because there were two adorable cats there that greeted us when we arrived. They didn’t know this, but it was meant to be because Katelyn is a true animal lover! They even struck a few poses with her.
We also turned the corner and saw some beautiful Clydesdale horses, a donkey and a few other horses that we just had to get photos with. There was no denying that this was the spot for her senior portraits!
After spending time with those sweet animals, Kaitlyn chose an adorable yellow dress that I knew just had to be photographed at SpringHouse. That location almost always has the best light and it definitely did that day. We also headed to Catherines for some beautiful photos as the sun was setting of Kaitlyn in her white dress.
I offered a location at Children’s Harbor that was perfect for her final outfit and I knew it would be ideal for some water pictures. As usual Katelyn was up for the adventure!
I’m so thrilled that I had the opportunity to photograph Katelyn this and last year. She has been the ultimate treasure to work with and I believe that she is going to have lived her senior year to it’s fullest enjoying every opportunity she has. She is a beautiful, strong and driven young lady and I know she is destined for great things!
